Trevor Demmans set up the goal as the dumped the puck in and it took a Kingfish bounce off the glass and came right to a waiting Norrie in the faceoff circle.

The Kingfish capitalized on a 5-on-3 opportunity as Norrie deflected a Trevor Demmans shot from the high slot past Matile to give the Kingfish the 3-1 lead at the 4:47 mark of the third period of play. Glen Crawford also added an assist on the goal.

The Kingfish used special teams to their advantage as they went 2-for-9 on the power play while Mississippi could not convert on any of their 6 power plays.
