The Kingfish found the road much to their liking as they completed a six game swing with a 4-1-1 record. Goaltender Brian Leitza started in consecutive games for the first time this season and was stellar compiling three victories over the weekend. Forward Mike Rucinski scored the first ever Kingfish overtime goal at the 10 second mark of the extra frame on a nifty feed from winger Jon Sturgis. Rucinski now has an eight game point scoring streak intact.


Thurs., Dec. 14, in Arkansas              7:05P                             ALLTEL  Arena

Second of five trips to Little Rock. The Kingfish came up empty the first trip dropping a 3-0 decision. The RiverBlades are fifth in the ECHL with a .630 winning percentage.


Fri., Dec. 15, vs. New Orleans           7:05P                   Riverside Centroplex

The Brass make their first of five visits to the Centroplex this season. The teams have met three times in New Orleans with the Fish going 1-1-1. Former NHLer Jeff Lazaro leads the Brass in scoring.


Sat., Dec. 16, vs. Arkansas                 7:05P                   Riverside Centroplex

The RiverBlades blanked the Fish, 3-0, their first time here this season. Arkansas comes in with the second best power play in the league. Winger Mark Cadotte leads the RiverBlades with 14 goals.

12/08  Kingfish 4 at Brass 3 (SO)

The Brass took the lead with 48 seconds remaining, only to lose the lead with 20 seconds left when Mike Rucinski deflected a defenseman Chris Chelios pass. Cam Brown was credited with the shoot out winner.


12/09  Kingfish 3 at IcePilots 1

G Brian Leitza stopped 39 shots (20 in the third period). A Jon Sturgis power play goal late in the second period proved to be the winner.


12/10  Kingfish 4 vs. Tiger Sharks 3 (OT)

C Andy Doktorchik took a slick feed from F Per Ledin with under a minute remaining to send the game to overtime. G Brian Leitza registered his fourth win a row.
