The Kingfish managed to collect only one point in three games this past week. Thursday night in New Orleans the Kingfish got their first taste of overtime this season but wound up on the short end after the subsequent shoot out.  They will attempt to get back on the winning track with two home games on Friday and Saturday before their maiden voyage to the Cajundome this season on Sunday afternoon. The upcoming home games will be accented with a plea to the fans to donate canned goods for the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.


Fri., Nov. 10, vs. Mobile                   7:05P                     Riverside Centroplex

The Mysticks return for the second of three visits this season. Mobile plays a rare 11:00 a.m. game vs. Peoria on Wednesday to facilitate 6,000 area students on a field trip.


Sat., Nov. 11, vs. Augusta                  7:05P                      Riverside Centroplex

This will be the Lynx’s only trip to the Tank during the regular season. Augusta is led by forward Louis Dumont who is coming off a five point effort in Tallahassee on Sunday.


Sun., Nov 12, in Louisiana               4:05P                     Cajundome

First of five trips for the Fish to the Cajundome. The IceGators have lost at home only once in 23 games dating back to last season.

11/02    Kingfish 4 at Brass 5 (SO)

 The Kingfish scored three times in four minutes early in the third period to take a short lived lead. The Brass outshot the Fish 34-11 in the first two periods and took a 3-1 lead into the 2nd break.


11/03   Kingfish 1 vs. IcePilots 5

Former Kingfish winger Rob Sinclair scored his first goal of the season in leading the IcePilots to their fifth consecutive win. Jon Sturgis tallied the first Kingfish short handed goal of the season to open scoring late in the first period.


11/04   Kingfish 1 at Bandits 7

C Sean Berens scored the lone Kingfish goal (shorthanded) late in the second period. The Kingfish slipped to seventh in the Southwest standings a point behind Jackson.

Hibernia Cup Update

The challenge for hockey supremacy among the three Louisiana teams continues.  At this time the New Orleans Brass and the IceGators are tied with four points and the Kingfish trail with one.
