The Kingfish evened their season output to 4-4 with a 2-1 weekend. The story of the week is Brian Leitza. Leitza was brilliant in both his starts shutting out previously undefeated Arkansas 2-0 in Little Rock and the defending League Champion Florida Everblades 6-0. Paxton Schafer was also solid in his performance in Jackson on Saturday but the Fish were shut down completely by the Bandit defense. Since giving up six goals in the first game of the season vs. Louisiana the Kingfish have only allowed nine goals in the following seven games (ten if you count an empty netter).

Thurs., Nov. 2, in New Orleans       7:05P                       New Orleans Arena

The Kingfish look to get back into the Hibernia Cup race. Second of five trips to the Baby Dome. Brass won the opener 3-2 on Oct.21.

Fri., Nov. 3, vs. Pensacola                    7:05P                      Riverside Centroplex

Former Boston Bruin’s All-Star Wayne Cashman is now the new Head Coach of the Ice Pilots. Pensacola has won three straight after starting the season with four losses.

Sat., Nov 4, in Jackson                7:00P                      Mississippi Coliseum

Second of four trips vs. the Bandits in a three week stretch. The Kingfish have not scored in Jackson in two consecutive games dating back to last season.

*All Kingfish games are broadcast on WIBR 1300 The Sports Animal.

Kingfish shut out for the second time this season. A short handed Bandit goal proved to be the winner. G Paxton Schafer made 27 saves in the loss.
