KINGFISH SIGN COLLEGE D-MAN
BARRIE FACING ANOTHER SUSPENSION
   
The Baton Rouge Kingfish have signed defenseman John Peterman out of Northeastern University.

Peterman, 24, played four years at Northeastern completing this season with four goals and 10 points in 35 games. The 6’, 205 lb., native of Madison, Wisconsin is expected in the line-up for this weekends games.

Recently acquired center, Mike Barrie, received a match penalty for high sticking incident in Birmingham on Wednesday. Barrie will remain under indefinite suspension until his case is reviewed by league officials on Monday.

The Kingfish are back in action tomorrow, St. Patrick’s Day, in New Orleans at 7:05 p.m. in the New Orleans Arena. Sunday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. they are in Birmingham to take on the Bulls.

The Kingfish then close out the season with eight games in 11 nights beginning with the only appearance of a Northern Conference team this season. The Dayton Bombers, making a rare Southern swing, are at the Riverside Centroplex on Wednesday, March 21, at 7:05 p.m.
