|LEITZA GETS CALL TO AHL|
Baton Rouge Kingfish All-Star goaltender Brian Leitza has been called up to the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks of the American Hockey League. Leitza will join the Ducks on a four games in five nights road trip in New England beginning tonight in Lowell, Massachusetts.
The 26-year-old native of Lake Villa, Illinois has made 27 appearances with the Kingfish this season registering an 11-14-2 record. His four shut outs are tied for the league lead and his 2.65 goals against average and .918 save percentage are both in the league’s top ten.
The 6’2", 185 lb., backstop is expected to rejoin the Kingfish on Monday.
The Kingfish are back in action this weekend as they host the Greenville Grrrowl on Friday and the Mississippi Sea Wolves on Saturday. Both games are at 7:05 p.m. at the Riverside Centroplex.
