KINGFISH POISED FOR PLAYOFF RUN

HIBERNIA STANDINGS TIGHTEN UP

There are six weeks left in the ECHL regular season and the Southern Conference is in for a major playoff race. Seventeen points separate the fifteen teams with the top ten making it to the post season party. The 1-1-1 weekend leaves the Kingfish sitting alone in the number nine slot with 57 points. The Fish tackle Mobile (58 pts.) and Arkansas (59 pts.) this weekend as well as the cellar dwelling Pensacola Ice Pilots (50 pts.). The Kingfish victory in Lafayette on Friday moved them only two points behind the IceGators in the Hibernia Cup standings. In the last ten games, forwards Jon Sturgis with 11 pts., Mike Rucinski and Andy Doktorchik both with 10 pts. have led the way.
